What are resistors
Resistors are electronic components that limit the flow of electric current in a circuit. They have a specific resistance measured in ohms and are commonly used to control the voltage and current in various electronic devices. 

What are diodes 
Diodes are semiconductor devices that allow current to flow in one direction only. They have two terminals: an anode (where current enters) and a cathode (where current exits). Diodes are commonly used in electronic circuits for rectification, signal demodulation, and as a protection against reverse voltage.
